For those desiring a career in Marine Biology, UNC-Wilmington is one of the few institutions of higher learning with such a program. And Cape Fear Community College actually has a floating classroom! Let’s not forget students who desire to spend downtime on the beach or on their surfboards.

Shopping, dining, recreation and even professional sports teams are located in Wilmington, too. New Hanover County has one of the best Parks and Recreation systems around. Something is always going on someplace.
