Riverlights

Riverlights
When one hears the name Del Webb in connection with a community, it is a given that it well be a thoroughly well planned community. And Riverlights is no exception. In fact, it will be a step-up even for a Del Webb property!
Approximately 500 acres of prime waterfront property along River Road in Wilmington is the site for this brand new community. And, it is just that: a community.
If you are looking for a new home, regardless of whether you are a brand new first time homebuyer, a young couple looking for a starter home or a growing family looking for a step up or entering your retirement years, you will find your dream home here.
This community is designed to provide all of the best amenities available, encourage outdoor living, recreation, family and shopping and dining, too.
Located on the Cape Fear River between Historic Downtown Wilmington and Carolina Beach Road just this side of Snow’s Cut Bridge, everything will be within reach by foot, bike or car, and, no more than minutes away. All while living in the lap of luxury!
The master plan calls for almost 3,000 homes and townhomes from which you can find your dream home. These homes are being built on riverfront and lakefront properties entwined with walking/biking paths and accentuated by the most breath taking views to be found.
This community is combining the best talent available in the building world. The builders are 70 West Builders, American Homesmith, Charter Building Group, H&H Homes, Plantation Building Corp, The Cottage Building Company, Trusst Builder Group and Del Webb Wilmington. Very impressive, right?
The community will consist of nine different areas.
First and perhaps foremost will be Marina Village. This will be a mixed purpose area that will combine living spaces with shops and cafes. This will be on the waterfront and the boardwalk. But, more on that in a minute.
Next will be Beacon Point which is being built at the entrance to this vibrant, new community. Described as a central gathering point, it will boast, of course, a beacon. This will be the starting point for the boardwalk.
Live Oak Commons will be a central open space surrounded by oak trees and the river. Mere steps away will be the shops and restaurants of Marina Village. There are plans for this to be an entertainment center which will feature events, concerts and more.
Ember Park will also be located beside the boardwalk and will hold fire pits, tables for picnic dining, possibly even food trucks or other vendors. After dark, this park will be the hub of the community with oyster roasts.
Driftwood Park will contain a launch area for boaters, kayakers and paddle boarders alike. Don’t be surprised to find your neighbors fishing for their supper here.
Portside Park will boast a children’s play area.
The Lake at Riverlights will be the very heart of this community. It is a 38 acre freshwater lake. It will be open to paddle boarder, kayakers and canoes. It will be surrounded by the Lake Loop for walking and biking.
Residents of Riverlights will, in the near future, be able to participate in lessons in paddle boarding or kayaking with neighbors.
Last, but most certainly not least, is the Lake House which will house a fitness center and a salt-water pool. The Lake House will be within 100 feet of the Boat Builder Park making it a sure gathering place for family and friends to meet after a long day or work of on a weekend day.
For those times that one absolutely must venture outside the embrace of the community, the beaches of Pleasure Island are about five minutes away. Wrightsville Beach will be about 15 minutes away. The Historic Downtown District, depending on time of day, will be within 5-10 minutes. UNC-Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College will be about the same 5-10 minutes away. Shopping, dining, entertainment and other destinations are well within 20 minutes or less.
But, why would one ever want to leave? Well, work would be the only acceptable excuse, right? Make plans now to start searching for your perfect dream home right now. Don’t wait. Contact us today and let us help make this luxury community your new reality!
