Marsh Oaks Real Estate

The Ogden area of Wilmington has seen an explosive growth over the last handful of years. Yet, a few neighborhoods predate that growth. One of those is Marsh Oaks which was created in 1998. Even in the face of the tremendous growth around it, Marsh Oaks has managed to maintain and nurture its family oriented atmostphere.

The neighborhood has a swimming pool, tennis courts and sidewalks for biking, jogging or walking. The
small complex that includes the pool and tennis courts also has a clubhouse for community meetings,
gatherings or for rental.

The streets are wide and designed for easy access to cul-de-sacs and entering and exiting the neighborhood.
The landscaping in and around the neighborhood is attractive, well-designed and maintained. It invites
neighbors to get outside, walk and visit with neighbors. The Fourth of July is a special time for this neighborhood, especially for the kids! They decorate their bikes and then parade through the streets.

Looking at the photo, one can almost imagine it. Now picture your dream house on this street, the sounds of cheering and laughter and keep reading.

With the growth Ogden has experienced, it makes this neighborhood a prime location for living. The beautiful and easy to see entrance is located right on Market Street and has its own traffic light to facilitate entering and exiting Marsh Oaks.

The location also puts one right in the middle of area entertainment, dining, shopping, sports and recreation, and close to area schools. Leaving the neighborhood, one can find dining, shopping or easy access to travel in any direction.

There is more to the Marsh Oaks neighborhood, however. There are three subdivisions: Marymount, Folly Island, and South Hall.

Marymount is the first subdivision after entering the neighborhood from Market Street. The road into this
subdivision is across the street from the swimming pool and tennis courts.

Townhouses and garden homes make up Marymount and all are one-story homes. This makes this neighborhood unique as do the Oak Trees planted along the streets. Additionally, there is a trail for the residents to walk on and enjoy the trees.

The Folly Island subdivision is deeper into the neighbor hood where Marsh Oaks Drive meets Marsh Reach
Drive. Folly Island consists of the homes on Marsh Read Drive and Folly Island Court, giving the homes a
unique and uniformed appearance. One may also notice that the homes in this subdivision tend to be just
a bit larger than in the other areas.

Lastly, South Hall can be found, primarily along Bayfield Drive. As compared to the larger homes in the
other subdivisions, one may notice these homes are smaller.

Marsh Oaks is very close to Wrightsville Beach and just a bit farther to Carolina and Kure Beaches as well as Topsail Island so this makes its location prime property. When the closeness of UNC-Wilmington, Cape Fear Community College, Historic Downtown Wilmington and various area parks and sporting venues plus all the shopping, dining and entertainment options are thrown in, there is no reason to look at other areas.
