Carolina Beach

Venture down Carolina Beach, cross Snow’s Cut Bridge and land on Carolina Beach and island time. It’s everyone’s dream. It’s a trip of minutes and it is a place that has something for everyone.

The Carolina Beach Boardwalk is the centerpiece, the hub of the community. It is bordered by unique local restaurants, bars, novelty shops, and, of course, Britt’s Donuts. Britt’s has operated every summer since 1939. They feature one item and only one item – Britt’s glazed donut! It works because they boast a line out the door constantly.

Just up the beach a bit from the boardwalk is the Carolina Beach Pier and Freeman Park. Both used to be part of Seabreeze Beach which was founded by Alexander and Charity Freeman. Freeman Park is named in honor of them.

The pier is a popular destination for fishermen, surfers and sunbathers. Its location offers a sense of peaceful isolation or lots of company. The choice is yours.

Carolina Beach has something for everyone. This includes concerts and fireworks on the Boardwalk, concerts, festivals, paddle boating and more at Carolina Lake Park and dining and shopping to please anyone. Oh, yes, and movies in the park at night.

Carolina Beach is also home to a gem of a sports park with Mike Chappell Park. There are softball, baseball, and soccer fields, a skate park and a playground.

Just down the road, the only state park in this part of the state, Carolina Beach State Park offers a 54 slip marina, campgrounds, a picnic area and walking trails.
